Lizzy is a plus-size baker with a crush on her sexy boss Chris. Lizzy's birthday is coming up and Chris is going to show her that the feeling is reciprocated with his special present. What a lucky girl...I think I smiled the whole time it took me to read this story. It starts off with a bang, captures you with some sweetness in the middle, and then, bam, there's a sexy, jealousy-inducing ending. One of the things I really appreciated about Lizzy was that she didn't try to hide herself away - she was going out and living life. (If you read a lot of plus-size stories, you'll know that it's pretty common for the heroine to be shy and insecure. I like and can relate to those heroines, but it's also nice to read about a woman who embraces her curves.)
The author writes well and, as I mentioned above, the story is engaging. Thank heaven, the book has been well-edited and is free of grammatical issues. It is short (261 locations - about 16 pages), at maybe a 20 to 30 minute read. Because of the shortness, the story definitely feels condensed, but I didn't feel like it was rushed. A longer story would have been great - I found myself feeling greedy for more detail about Lizzy and Chris.
As a note to anyone who intends to purchase the book, you might want to look at Plump & Sexy: BBW Erotica Anthology too. The book is an anthology, with five stories in it, including this one. Had I known it was available, I would have bought that instead.

I really liked this story ) I'm not one for short stories but this one was well written, the plot was realistic, the love scene totally hot and sexy! and the characters developed enough for the length of the book. However I do feel there is great potential for this story to be expanded and would like to see it as a full-lenght novel. Well done!
This is the first book I've read of Adelaide's and I really enjoyed it.
Lizzie could be any woman with realistic self esteem issues, who is working in an industry where there is always temptation. Chris, her boss, promises an exciting birthday party, but Lizie has no idea what is in store!
The first-person POV really allowed me to connect with Lizzie, but I wished we'd gotten to know Chris a little better. I hope Adelaide will revisit these two and give us Chris' POV. He's such a sexy hero, and I'm dying to see more!
It was ok. Didn't have an ending just left ya hanging.
I apologize for the word play in the title, but this really is a very sweet, romantic erotic short. The author did a very nice job of making it feel believable that Chris would be attracted to Lizzy, and I especially liked that it didn't get too dreary and heavy emotionally. Just a nice, sweet, feel-good story.
