David Watkins does well developing the characters as well as the action scenes.
If anything this second book in this series is better than the first.

Being the second book I was hesitant read this one. The first was a hell of good yarn and I didn't figure the second could live up to it. I was pleasantly surprised! This one was even better.
I keep a small and unfortunately small but slowly growing list of truely great books of the werewolf genre. I'm happy to say I've discovered one more. This is an author to follow and hope to see more from in the future.
I liked it much better than the first book. It's a fast paced story with a lot of action and really good character development. Jack has a lot to contend with in this story. The army is still out to get him, there is another original that is border line psychotic and experienced in warfare, and there's a demented werewolf that is looking to follow either one of the originals and will stop at nothing to get his way. Strap yourself in folks, you're in for a wild ride.
We need another one in this series!!!!! Jack was an excellent character definitely one of my favorites that I have read

it leaves room for a third book in this series
if u want some horror, plenty of well done action, thoughtful plot, and compelling characters u cant go wrong on this book
just wish they were a little bit longer
This first one was fantastic. This one was a bit less enjoyable and a lil more bland. Didn't care about the Antagonist in this one at all. The ending left a lot to be desired. If you read this first... then this is a decent continuation. Just not the best finish! Was hoping for a lil more is all. Cheers
This continues the story of Jack the werewolf - one of the "Original" werewolves even though he became one by accident. I don't like this story as much as the first book. I suppose it seemed that all the guys and Gore was a little bit much. The characters seemed a bit more wooden and less likeable too. But still, it was a decent read.
